Education:
Completion of high school, completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training.
Credentials (certificates, licences,
memberships, courses, etc.):
Forklift Operator Certification.
Skill Requirements:
Must have a minimum of 5 years experience.
Languages:
Speak English, Read English, Write English.
Work Setting:
Sheet metal shop.
Weight Handling:
Up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
Specific Skills:
Strong blue print reading skills.
Ability to follow verbal instructions.
Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications.
Select and transport material to work area manually or using a forklift.
Own Tools/Equipment:
Tools, Steel-toed safety boots.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
Working to close tolerance in a fast-paced environment in the electronic/aerospace industry.
Transportation/Travel Information:
Own transportation.
Essential Skills:
Reading text, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication. Working with others. Problem solving, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing. Computer use, continuous learning. Working with little or no supervision.
Other Information:
CNC punch press, knowledge of other sheet metal machinery and supervisory experience an asset. Competitive wages, excellent benefits.
